A few days ago we suffered a spontaneous infatuation. A crush on any rule. Smart ForStars returned us the passion for the Daimler subsidiary brand, with a concept something crossoverizado of an urban two-seater Coupe, with a tremendously attractive aesthetic.
Smart Roadster Coupe we already loved at the time (hence, star the "used, Yes, but interesting" of a few weeks ago), and the public demanded it. But problems with its manufacturing ended with his life. But it seems that after slightly rearrange the situation internally and address problems, Daimler is ready to give a new look to Smart.
Because if those of Stuttgart want to eat market premium to BMW and Audi, they need to make Smart more than the ForTwo.
That is why, beyond of the ForTwo will launch shortly a new generation ForFour, sharing a platform with the Renault-Nissan alliance. But the beauty of this story is that, after much asking, Daimler has released garment on the ForStars.
The concept presented in Paris will not only stay in prototype model. It will be a dual task: anticipate lines and aesthetic elements of future models, and most importantly, consider a possible production car. This production model came with electric motor, but also with the familiar internal combustion mechanical brand.
Small, funky, chic, fun (see and drivers)... The ForStars will not be fast which missile, or rotate Nürburgring in 7: 10; But if it is able to demonstrate fun in driving as the longed Coupe Roadster, is a fruit of our liking.
Fingers crossed because in Paris people be encouraged around your stand, and the Daimler people you the definitive green light.
